Our record
PF69 coins we handle
Coins of this kind that have passed through the shop, each one of one, photographed in the holder it sold in. If one of them is the coin you are after, tell us and we will look for another.

What PF69 means
PF is the prefix for a proof strike, and sixty-nine is one point off the top of the scale both NGC and PCGS use. A coin graded PF69 showed one or two imperfections to the grader at five times magnification — a hairline, a contact mark, a flaw in the frost — and nothing more than that.
At arm's length, in the hand, under a lamp, a PF69 and a PF70 of the same coin look the same. The difference is found with a loupe by somebody looking for it, which is exactly what the grader was doing.
Why collectors buy at sixty-nine
Far more coins come back at sixty-nine than at seventy, so a PF69 costs less — often considerably less — for a coin that is the same issue, the same mintage and the same design, sealed in the same holder by the same service.
Whether the step up to seventy is worth paying for depends on what you want the coin for. A collector assembling a set to look at and a buyer who intends to resell into a graded market are answering different questions. We will talk it through rather than push you up the scale, and both grades are listed here with prices shown.
Checking a coin before you buy it
Every graded coin listed here shows its certification number. Type that number into the grading service's own verification page and you will see the same coin, the same grade and the same holder, described by somebody with no stake in the sale. We would rather you checked.
Coins are sent sealed in the holder they were graded in. Breaking the holder ends the grade, so we never open one, and neither should you if the grade is part of why you bought it.
NGC and PCGS certified
Every graded coin arrives sealed in its original holder, with the certification number given when you enquire.
