Our record
PF70 coins we handle
Coins of this kind that have passed through the shop, each one of one, photographed in the holder it sold in. If one of them is the coin you are after, tell us and we will look for another.

What PF70 means
PF is the prefix for a proof strike, and seventy is the top of the scale both NGC and PCGS use. A coin graded PF70 showed no imperfection to the grader at five times magnification: the fields clear of hairlines, the surfaces clear of contact marks, the strike complete.
It is a judgement about the coin in front of the grader on the day, not a certificate of perfection in the abstract. Two graders can disagree, and the same coin submitted twice does not always come back the same. What the grade gives you is an independent opinion, recorded and sealed with the coin.
PF69 and PF70
A PF69 has one or two flaws so small you will not find them without magnification. In the hand, at arm's length, a PF69 and a PF70 of the same coin look identical.
The prices are not identical, because far fewer coins come back at seventy than at sixty-nine. Whether that difference is worth paying is a decision about what you want the coin for, and we will talk it through rather than push you up the scale. Both grades are listed here with prices shown.
Checking a coin before you buy it
Every graded coin listed here shows its certification number. Type that number into the grading service's own verification page and you will see the same coin, the same grade and the same holder, described by somebody with no stake in the sale. We would rather you checked.
Coins are sent sealed in the holder they were graded in. Breaking the holder ends the grade, so we never open one, and neither should you if the grade is part of why you bought it.
NGC and PCGS certified
Every graded coin arrives sealed in its original holder, with the certification number given when you enquire.
